December 16 – First day in the field!

Hola que hace?

Wow, so much has happened this week. I forgot to tell you that my companion and I were assigned as sister missionary leaders while we were at the MTC; we basically had to be in charge of the other two sisters, Sister Bueno and Sister Martinez. They’re are super sweet and I have gotten along really well with them . Sometimes my district was too cheerful, Latin people love to laugh and make jokes and we would always joke with each other hahahaha. I’m truly going to miss everyone from my district, we are all going to different mission areas. They always took care of the sisters and they really listened when we would tell them they had to be more focused. I also got along with my companion and I learned to love her and  be more humble. Today was sad because it was the last day at the MTC. We woke up super early around 4 am but I’m officially out in the field! My (“mom”) companion is Hermana Villarini, she is from New Jersey and she is super nice and the best thing is that I used to read her blog before coming on my mission! It was meant to be! 🙂

I love it when you tell me about what everyone is doing, it really makes me feel like I’m more connected to you guys.

By the way, I think I forgot my extra USBs at home. We are not allowed to eat in members’ homes unless it’s Sunday. The other days we eat lunch and dinner at our pension, except breakfast.  My apartment is small and simple but I seriously love it and makes me feel grateful  for my room in Vancouver. I’m in an area called Chosica.  There are many mountains of dirt and  you breathe a lot of dirt too but it is a very pretty area. There are dogs everywhere, the traffic is a bit tedious and they have these cute cars called “Ticos” but since we are missionaries we can’t go on them. The people are nice and it’s an interesting place. We also can’t eat Ceviche because it’s raw fish, nor lettuce nor strawberries.

Well, I have to go and sorry for no being able to write to anyone, but I read all the e-emails and they truly make my day.  I love you! And I pray for you! I couldn’t send any photos but next time I will!

Byeeeeee, take care, read and pray.

byeeeeee cuidense, lean y oren.
