Hola que hace?
A lot of things happened this week.
We went to a waterfall called Surco on Monday with all the zone of about 20 missionaries, we walked up a mountain for about an hour until we got there. It’s about two hours away from where we live so we were really excited but when we were on our way back it started raining. We were all soaked and there were many rocks and mud. Since the rain was heavy the path we were walking on was like a mini river! We were all cold and we had to wait a while for a van to take us back, but we are all fine, no one died, and no one got sick.
Sandy, our 15-year-old investigator is progressing really well. She has been praying, reading and attending church. She truly is having a change of heart. Today we will find out if there are transfers and it would break my heart if I have to leave without seeing her get baptized first. I love her so much and I know that as long as she gets baptized and continues to be strong in the church that that is enough for me. Her little 8-year-old sister really likes the church and reads the Book of Mormon by herself. She invites her little friends to family home evening and church, she is so cute!!! Sandy says that her dad also wants to go to church but just need to settle some things at work and he will. He has a lot of relatives who are members of the church and are on missions, I have faith that the Lord with provide a way so that he and the rest of his family can attend the church.
We are also working hard on gaining the trust of the members. It’s not easy but by serving and trying to get know them more they will see that we do care about them and we love them.
On Wednesday, we had to travel for 2 hours to go to Lima for the end of my training. On Saturday, the other sisters in our area had a baptism and it was great! After the baptism we wanted to go eat pizza and we found this family from another city and they bought a whole pizza for all of us. They said that we are angels and in fact a lot of people say the same thing. Sometimes it’s hard to believe it because I still feel like Lorena but I know that the message is Heavenly 🙂
On Sunday we had an awesome lesson, you should have seen the look in the face of the lady we were teaching while we taught her about the restoration. She was super happy and we felt the spirit so strong, it was amazing! The best lesson I’ve had here!
I also just found out about the transfers just now, my companion Hermana Sulla is leaving and Hermana Rodrigues who is from Mexico is coming.
Also this week while I was studying about the restoration, I asked myself: how much time do we spend preparing ourselves academically and occupationally that we do not invest enough time to prepare ourselves to live with our Heavenly Father again? The time in this life is very short, the time in the eternity is veryyyyy long.
Keep praying and reading your scriptures and don’t get tired of doing the right thing 🙂
I love you so much!

Hola!!!!
