March 2 – Happy 3 months!

Hola que hace?

Well this week was so tiring! Literally, my companion and I were so tired, sometimes we looked like zombies walking down the street. Many of our lessons fell through and we had to walk and walk and walk to find people to teach and who would listen to us. Thursday was one of those days, but at night when we were leaving all sad that we had barely found any people,  while we were on our way to see a young woman who was supposed to come with us, we passed by the home of a member who was filling sandbags. He was taking them to the third floor since he and his wife have a school in their home. He looked really tired and we offered to help him, of course we didn’t carry any of the sandbags since they were very heavy but we did fill them and we would bring them in a cart to the stairs so he could carry them upstairs.

What is curious is that my companion and I had our service clothes in our backpacks since that morning we were going to do service in the home of a member but they cancelled and we forgot to take it out. In that moment we realized we were going to need them to help this brother. He said he was thinking “how I wish someone would help me, I’m so tired, I wish the sister missionaries were here” and his prayer was answered and ours too since all day we wanted to help someone. At the end we helped him with a big part of the sandbags he needed and he and his wife were so thankful towards us. Since they have to have everything ready by Monday we went to help them the next day too.

How good it feels to help others and more than anything see our prayers get answered and be the answer to someone else’s prayers. On Saturday we also went to help some investigators who lived all the way on top of the hill to pick rock so they can construct their home there. It was tiring and we didn’t help as much as we would’ve liked but either way it’s good to show our love to others by serving them.

I hope everyone is doing well at home and there is no excuse to not serve others, even if one feels like a zombie!

I love you and take care, I always pray for you!

Felices 3 Meses!
